The Richest States in Nigeria 2016  – Depite the fact that Nigeria is among the list of underdeveloped countries in the world doesn’t mean Nigerian are not living well or surfering , it is impossible that everybody living in a particular country to be rich thesame thing is applicable to Nigerian states . But quietly take it from me when i assert to your face that there are some states in Nigeria that are really living very well while some are still finding it hard to survive .

Nigerian states hold many opportunities but the ability and capability of the leaders in that state to effectively and efficiently distribute and manage the resources in such state is what really matters . Some successful states in Nigeria which are also the richest states in Nigeria are those ones that has been able to percieve it’s threat and do something about it and they were also able to tap from the opportunities that is available in the  environment and make something out of it .
In developing a particular state in any country the government has her own role to play which is a basic for this development . Studying Nigeria environment we have been able to understand that foreign investor has contributed tremendously to the growth of Nigerian economy .
A quick highpoint of this topic reveals that Lagos State is the The Richest States in Nigeria 2015 and 2016 . Honestly , Lagos State need little or no introduction except for the sake of fans from other countries who are not that familiar with Nigerian economy . Lagos state is the largest state in Nigeria with alot of commercial activities going on night and day .

1. Lagos State : The GDP is placed at $33.67 billion and this makes it the richest state in Nigeria.
2. Rivers State : The last time i checked GDP of River state  was $21.07 billion and is the second richest state in Nigeria.
3. Delta State : The gross state product of Delta State is greater than $1.91 trillion.
4. Imo State : Imo State GDP stand at $14.21 billion
5. Oyo State : Oyo State has GDP of $16.12 billion
