Buju Banton's daughter to represent JLP in local gov't election

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The daughter of incarcerated dancehall artiste Buju Banton is representing the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) in the local government election set to be contested this month.
Jodian Myrie, a marketing graduate of the University of Technology Jamaica, will represent the Hagley Park Division of the St Andrew East Central constituency, which is represented by Dr Peter Phillips of the People's National Party (PNP).
The election is set for November 28, with Nomination Day scheduled for this Friday, November 11.
