Gabriel Oche Amanyi but popularly known by his stage name Terry G , is a Nigerian musician , songwriter and producer who is one of the top musicians in Nigeria can boast of today . Terry G is well known for his off-the-wall , outlandish and unconventional dress sense ; and he has been described by differnent online portals .

He has been described by The Punch as “one of the world’s weirdest singers”, by Vanguard as a “Weird singer”, and by Channels TV as the “Craziest musician in Nigeria”.  That was by the way though .
Gabriel Oche Amanyi a.k.a Terry G was born and brought up  in Benue State on March 17, 1986, his birthday coincidentally happened to be his mother’s birthday , there is nothing sweeter than having thesame birthday with your mum because it will be really fantastic to celebrate that day with your mum . Terry G is the first child of four children born to Lagos based clergy parents, his father is a pastor why his mother is a business woman but also supports her husband in doing the work of the lord .

Terry G the “Akpako master”, as he is fondly called attended Starfield Educational Centre in Lagos but had to drop out due to financial constraints and because of this draw back he couldn’t complete his education . Music was not his thing but he was introduced to it by his his mother who was a choir mistress in their church . Terry G’s mother persuaded him to join the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Praise Palace, Oko-Oba choir and his time as a chorister enabled Terry to know more about music .
Because of this christian background that he came from, Terry started as a gospel artiste but realised that there was more money in  pop music then he left gospel music for pop music which has really paid off as he has now found fame and fortune through pop music. When he started doing pop music , he was a back-up singer for Faze . He broke into the music industry when he featured on Kemistry’s hit single “Shake” in 2006 . He also produced the song and it was his first taste of fame and stardom .
From there ,he became a popular name in the music industry as an artiste, super beatmaker responsible for many hit tracks making waves everywhere around the country . He produced 2 shots’ “In case you never know” featuring Timaya , he also produced  “Pass me your love” by A.Y.com , “Aye Po Gan” by Illbliss, “One by One” by Side amongst others .

In year 2008 , Terry G released the hit single “Love You Sexy” off his debut album “Free Me” and it was a big hit that was accepted by everybody because of the beautiful lyrics and beat .
In 2009 , he released  “Ginjah Ur Swaggah Season 1” and it contain the monster hit “Free Madness” , this song made made a household name in Nigeria music industry . As if that was not enough , the video of this song was too cool and can said to be one of the best video that year as it enjoyed constant airplay around the country and was topping charts everywhere . One of the common thing with him back then was the way he uses drugs , he revealed in September 2014, he told Jane Augoye of The Punch that he has stopped taking hard drugs.  but he has cited 2face Idibia as his greatest musical mentor .

Terry  added some style to his recent upgrade. He recently  acquired a house in Lekki, relocating from the Fagba , an area that he has been staying all his life .Terry G has now added a Ferrari to his fleet of whips, right now he is among those big boys sitting on top of it . He was having a range over but the car was distroyed in an accident .

In February 2016 , the  ‘Free Madness’ singer was involved in a terrible car crash at about 6am in the morning in Lagos. The accident reportedly happened on his way back from a night club between the 1st and 2nd roundabout in Lekki, Lagos and his new Range Rover Sport is completely totalled.

Terry G  was performing in an event and the Dj stopped his music when he wan’t ready to cut his performance , Terry slapped the Dj and walked out of the Show.

Terry G was  declared wanted by the Nigerian Police  way back in 2012 . The reason he was wanted remained unknown , rumor that went round revealed that it was drug issue why  others said it was fraud. We are not  sure of what he realy did .
